Exquisite little, perfectly formed "nail head" Calcite crystals adorn this enigmatic (large palm sized) pale frosted Fluorite octahedron cluster from China. It's a floater, no clear attachment (or "break-off" points, but none of its terminations are hard & super defined...it's as free floating as it is linear. Very interesting piece. Natural octahedrons are quite rare, and worth all the more. This distinctive Chalcedony (basically a curvy, stalagtitic, undulating druzy formation) is so special it has its own name: Youngite (you can look it up). I surveyed dozens of pieces - bigger & smaller - and this was the best one! Photos are 1: head on; 2: held up sideways (mostly showing the front, but at a different angle); looking a bit down (you can see the pink under material), on its display stand. Photo 4 is looking up from the bottom, and photo 5 is looking at it from behind. Very special formation!
